Dear Members: As another school year draws to a close marking the start of warm summer days to come, our minds begin to wander to all the fun things we will do with our kids. When I think back to my own childhood, some of the best summer days I can remember were the result of my mom. She would turn on the sprinkler in the back yard and my niece and I would run through it all afternoon in our swimsuits. When we became hungry, we would picnic outside beneath an apple tree. Those were the best sandwiches. Ever. Even the fruit she brought to us was some of the sweetest I can recall. Although those summers have long passed, the memories still remain as vivid and pleasant as any I possess. It’s not a stretch to realize, that kids really do love to spend time with their family. And the best thing? Just remember, when you are looking for things to do with your kids this summer, you don’t have to spend a ton of money. Ultimately, they only want your time.
