New Big Sisters Program PDF Print E-mail
The Louisville Mothers of Twins Club has started a new program: The Big Sister/Little Sister Program. It is a program designed to pair up an established memeber in good standing with a new member in her pregnancy or with young babies based on their similar situations (i.e. same sexing of twins, stay at home vs. working mom, hobbies and outside interests, etc.). The program is designed to provide a resource for new twin mothers adjusting to their exciting new life. It will serve to introduce new members to the Club and its members and to encourage them to become involved in the Club.

A Big Sister is someone whose twins are at least a year old and is willing to commit the time needed to the Program. Big Sisters are encouraged to contact their Little Sister at least twice a month and to invite them to all of the Club events. During Club events they should introduce their Little Sister to other members of the Club to ease the integration of the new member. They should offer their support and help guide the mother to the resources offered by the Club and its members. It is a great way to give back to the Club by encouraging participation and networking, thereby increasing member retention.

If you are interested in possibly becoming a Big or Little Sister please contact Co-Coordinators Jaymi Yantis or Carrie Owens.
