Club Wins “Good Ears” at the Easter Parade

On April 3, LMOTC participated in the Frankfort Avenue Business Association’s annual Easter Parade.  The parade, in its 18th year of providing family-friendly entertainment, is open to the public and welcomes community members to join the fun by decorating vehicles, wagons, strollers, etc and walk along as actual parade participants. I’m happy to announce that in its first parade appearance, LMOTC was given a “Good Ear” Award!  These awards are given to the most creative entries and most outrageous Easter bonnets. Several of our member families braved the stormy weather that morning, and by parade time, we finally had bright, sunny skies.  We walked down Frankfort Avenue proudly carrying our club banner, with balloon-decorated wagons and strollers in tow, and passed out candy and “save the date” LMOTC Clothing Sale flyers to the parade onlookers.  Everyone had a great time! We were awarded a nice wooden plaque for our efforts, which I will plan to bring along to the next club meeting for display.  Thanks again to everyone who came out to walk with us or cheer us on!  Let’s plan to do it again next year!
